It is becoming increasingly important to create lasting value, beyond the duration of a team building day or event. In the past, the short-term motivational impact of an event was its own reward but in today’s cost conscious environment companies are looking for more.
For this reason at Pro Performance Learning & Development (PPL&D) we concentrate on what we do best, advising, designing and delivering the Team Building content of events. We therefore rely on our sister company, Pro Event Management (www.pro-event-management.co.uk), to work in partnership with us to stage really memorable events. This ensures that you get the best of both worlds and achieve the maximum, lasting value from your bespoke event.
Our team will work with you to understand the key challenges/objectives and issues that you face and will weave these into the fabric of your day. This will ensure that the learning’s from the event are totally transferable to the workplace. PPL&D will of course be keen to hear your instructions but typically the mood of the event will be kept light and fun as this creates an advantageous learning environment.
If requested, PPL&D will help run mini workshops after an event, to ensure that the learning is capitalised on and cemented into the culture of the group. Example Team Building Events
1. Learning Zones
When you have specific behaviours you want to test or practice we would recommend choosing a selection of our Learning Zones or ask us to adapt or design one specific to your needs. Typically we run four or more, 30 minute Zones which teams rotate around. Each Zone is an ‘out of context’ problem or task which is designed to represent a business skill or behaviour required within most modern organisations. 2. Drum Circles
Music and rhythm are wonderful mediums in which to explore communication and cooperation skills. The power and skill of our musicians and facilitators guarantees that you will be making sweet music before the end of the day. Drum Circles PDF
3. Bridge and Tower Building
Wonderful for improving a range of skills such as project management, client relationship management and team collaboration. A range of scenarios exist, to suit the customer situation and budget, all inviting teams to design, buy materials and build a bridge in line with a customer’s exacting and sometimes changing requirements. This event builds to a frenzy of activity as deadlines approach and teams realise that they haven’t listened carefully enough to their client requirement.
4. Espionage Academy
Form Cells, go undercover, learn the dark arts and try to save your witness from the forces of evil. Although typically outdoor this event can be run indoors. Teams or rather Cells, tend to throw themselves into character and are keen to learn all manner of useful skill at the Academy, that are both relevant to the subsequent task and their daytime job.
